Congratulations to FC33 and the University of Aberdeen A after securing regional league titles.

The east coast outfits had differing seasons but the same outcome – qualification for the Super League play-offs in May.

FC33 have dominated SFL-Dundee, winning every single game and scoring 125 goals, to take the title before the league split in two.

It is their first-ever league win and follows their SFL-Dundee League Cup success last season.

Plenty of those goals have come from brothers Mitchell and Kerr Hay with Scotland international Adam Fairweather a key man all term.

The Dundee side have also impressed in the Super League Cup by winning all three group matches with the only blight on their record this term coming at the hands of Super League side Joga in the Scottish Cup.

SFL-Aberdeen, meanwhile, was a four-horse race until the last couple of matchdays.

After sitting in fourth spot just a few weeks ago, University of Aberdeen A timed their run to perfection.

The students were clear winners after the division’s final day, topping the table by five points over Huntly Old Boys.

Jed Simpson was among the goals for the Uni with back-to-back wins over title rivals Huntly Old Boys and Hutcheon Mearns sending them top with two weeks to go.

And to cap a fine season, the University of Aberdeen A made it a league and cup double by lifting the SFL-Aberdeen League Cup on Wednesday night.

An all varsity affair against University of Aberdeen B, the A side had to come from 2-0 down to win the cup final 3-2 at RGU.

Very well done to all at FC33 and University of Aberdeen A.
