The road to Latvia and Lithuania has been revealed after Scotland discovered their preliminary round opponents.
Qualifying for UEFA 2026 took its first step after the draw for the opening stage took place on Thursday.
Scotland will face Switzerland, Malta and Gibraltar in Group C with matches played between 8-17 April.
Scotland went into the draw as the lowest seed in the group with Switzerland seeded first.
The Swiss are ranked 40th in Europe while Malta are 44th, Gibraltar 45th and the Scots 49th.
The host nation is still to be revealed.
The top two sides in each section progress to the main round, which takes place between December 9 and April 18 2025.
Group winners and play-off winners will then travel to Latvia and Lithuania for the tournament proper in January 2026.
