The Scottish Futsal Super League is ready for its first-ever split.
Phase one of the season is complete with the top five and bottom four ready to duke it out for two titles.
Aberdeen lead the way, one point ahead of champions PYF Saltires, in what is now Super League 1.
Joga missed out on the top half by the narrowest of margins but start as hot favourites to top Super League 2.
Matchday 17
That was after the dramatic final match of phase one saw Letham Santos edge out Futsal Escocia at Perth College.
The 5-4 win saw Santos leapfrog both Escocia and Joga in the table. A clash that ebbed and flowed at Perth College saw a hat-trick from Paul Simpson decide the result.
With the latter two locked on points it came down to their head-to-head record and Escocia edged that by just one goal – winning 4-3 back in October.
Super League 2 has actually already got under way.
Bottom two Edinburgh University and TJ Slovak Lads were unable to qualify for the top half so agreed to get going early.
The clash at the Edinburgh University Sports Union saw the students register their first Super League win of the season.
A hat-trick from Jonathan Chaplin helped them on their way to a 9-6 victory over Slovak Lads, Erik Sula also grabbing a treble for the visitors.
Last Sunday also saw champions PYF Saltires defeat Galacticos 27-0. Ross Cameron and Conor McLaren battled it out for most goals with eight and seven respectively.
Those results completed phase one.
Matchday 18
This weekend sees the top half kick into gear.
First up is an east coast clash between two of the top three.
League leaders Aberdeen host third-placed Dundee with four points separating the sides.
The first meeting saw Aberdeen run out 9-5 winners at DISC.
That’s followed by Futsal Escocia taking on Letham Santos in Livingston.
The tight court of West Lothian College will see a re-run of last Sunday’s clash in Perth with just one point between the two teams.
